Start with the decision the research must inform
Identify the intended product, target population, comparator where relevant and the outcome of interest. Early learning and a commercial claim-support program can require different research designs.
Define scope and evidence needs
Clarify endpoints, responsibilities, budget assumptions and specialist requirements. Research feasibility and any regulatory or ethics requirements must be assessed for the particular project.
Interpret results in context
Keep the conclusions connected to the studied product and study conditions. An ingredient result or an exploratory study does not automatically establish a finished-product benefit.
Is research included in fee-free product development?
No. Contract research is scoped and quoted separately at market rates for all clients. Study design, endpoints and project requirements determine the research quote.
How we work together
For clients under $50 million in annual revenue, new product development and portfolio management are fee-based. For clients over $50 million, these engagements can be fee-free to the client, with PCG compensated by the CDMO under agreed terms. Contract research is always separately scoped at market rates. Companies at exactly $50 million should contact PCG to confirm their engagement.
