Define whether the concept includes caffeine, is stimulant-free, or belongs in a two-product system. Specify the intended consumer and use occasion so the formula, serving instructions and positioning tell the same story. A longer ingredient list does not resolve an unclear product brief.
Make the scoop a real constraint
Work backward from the intended serving weight, water volume and price position. Consider ingredient forms, taste, texture and blending requirements together. PCG can help compare ingredient priorities and prototype directions before the brand commits to a flavor range or package size.
Plan for the production line
Turn the preferred prototype into a specification brief covering raw materials, blend handling, packaging and quality questions. Identify whether sports-certification requirements belong in the brief early; certification is a separate qualification process, not an automatic consequence of formulation.
