Define the product before the formula

Start with the intended customer, use occasion, target format, commercial goals and the reason this product should exist. A useful brief makes development decisions easier to evaluate.

Develop a differentiated experience

Explore formulation, ingredients, sensory experience and delivery formats together. Prototype work should expose tradeoffs around dose, taste, stability, packaging and manufacturing fit.

Prepare the manufacturing handoff

Connect development choices to a CDMO brief with specifications, open questions and agreed next steps. Scope and deliverables are set for each engagement; PCG is a development partner rather than the manufacturing facility.

What should I bring to a first product development discussion?

Bring your target customer, product idea, current stage, desired launch window and commercial constraints. A high-level brief is enough to begin; proprietary formulas can follow through an agreed secure process.

How we work together

For clients under $50 million in annual revenue, new product development and portfolio management are fee-based. For clients over $50 million, these engagements can be fee-free to the client, with PCG compensated by the CDMO under agreed terms. Contract research is always separately scoped at market rates. Companies at exactly $50 million should contact PCG to confirm their engagement.
