SPECIALIST DEVELOPMENT & COMMERCIALIZATION
Supplement & skincare development for e-commerce brands
PCG helps e-commerce and creator-led brands develop physical consumer products: supplements, skincare, beverages and functional foods. The work connects the consumer brief, formulation, ingredient sourcing, evidence and manufacturing coordination with a viable product portfolio.
DEFINE THE WORK. RESOLVE THE DECISIONS.
Translate attention into a product question
A trend can identify a use occasion or unresolved consumer frustration. Test whether the concept offers a clear reason for repeat use and fits the brand’s capabilities. Separate social engagement from verified demand, repeat purchase and viable unit economics.
Design for the complete buying experience
Consider serving, preparation, taste or texture, packaging, shipping and product education together. A drink powder, liquid shot and gummy create different development and fulfillment questions. PCG can compare those routes against the intended consumer experience and commercial brief.
Build a portfolio with distinct roles
An outsourced development relationship should establish priorities, stage gates and a decision cadence. Define which product is the hero, which complements it and what evidence or market signal justifies the next launch. Use actual business data to revisit the roadmap rather than adding overlapping SKUs.
What the engagement can deliver
- Consumer opportunity and product brief
- Format, sensory and target-cost priorities
- Development and manufacturing coordination scope
- Portfolio roadmap and decision cadence
These are scoping options, not a fixed package. Deliverables, milestones, testing, rights and exclusions are agreed before work begins.

PCG is a development and coordination partner. The selected CDMO performs manufacturing; qualified research and testing partners execute specialist work as agreed. Client fees apply to development and portfolio engagements below $50 million in annual revenue. Eligible engagements above $50 million can be client-fee-free with CDMO compensation under agreed terms. Research is separately quoted at market rates; production and testing are not implied to be free. At exactly $50 million, confirm the model with PCG.
