Assess the current portfolio
Review product roles, overlapping concepts, customer needs and the evidence behind proposed investments. Existing products and new ideas should compete for resources on a consistent basis.
Prioritize with stage gates
Define the question each development stage must answer before committing further resources. Consider differentiation, research needs, sourcing feasibility and manufacturing constraints together.
Keep the roadmap useful
Connect launch planning, product improvements and future opportunities in one roadmap. The objective is a defensible sequence of decisions, with the engagement tailored to the information and resources available.
Can PCG work on an existing portfolio?
Yes. Portfolio work can address existing products, improvements and a pipeline of new concepts. The scope is agreed around the business priorities and available information.
How we work together
For clients under $50 million in annual revenue, new product development and portfolio management are fee-based. For clients over $50 million, these engagements can be fee-free to the client, with PCG compensated by the CDMO under agreed terms. Contract research is always separately scoped at market rates. Companies at exactly $50 million should contact PCG to confirm their engagement.
